My name is Theron Morgan. I founded Avidity Capital in June of 2021 with a single goal: to serve multi-generational families with the kind of advice I'd seen done well my whole life. That goal hasn't changed since. Only the tools, the depth, and the focus have sharpened along the way.
Where It Started
Raised in the Business
I didn't discover financial advice in a classroom. I grew up around my father's wealth management firm. While other kids spent their summers at the pool, I spent mine interning at the company, sitting in on meetings, learning the work from the inside, and getting the rare chance to work directly with his clients.
What stayed with me wasn't the mechanics of portfolios or planning. It was watching how a trusted advisor becomes part of a family's life: how the relationship outlasts any single decision, and how much it matters to get the human part right. That's the work I wanted to do.
The Lesson That Shaped the Firm
Learning How the Best Firms Serve Families
After college, I moved to San Diego to work at the corporate office of LPL Financial, one of the largest independent broker-dealers and custodians in the country. It was a deliberate choice. I wanted to understand how advisors across the entire country were serving their clients, what the best ones did differently, and where families were genuinely well-served versus merely sold to.
The single most important thing I learned there came from the head of LPL's Private Client Team:
Wealth management is a team sport. A principle I carried home from LPL Financial
The best outcomes for a family never come from one person working in isolation. They come from a coordinated team: the CPA, the estate attorney, the real estate broker, the qualified intermediary, the investment adviser, all rowing in the same direction. When those professionals operate independently, opportunities get missed and families pay for the gaps.
I built Avidity Capital around that idea. We don't position ourselves as the only voice in the room. We position ourselves as the coordinator who makes sure every voice is heard at the right time, which is what we call the quarterback model.
Coming Home
Built for the Families I Understand Best
The Central Valley is home. The families here don't think of farmland as an asset class. It's their life, their history, and what they hope to pass on. That deserves an advisor who understands both the financial complexity and the emotional weight of the decisions involved.
When I founded Avidity Capital in 2021, I made structural choices that reflect who we serve. We charge flat advisory fees for our specialized planning work and accept no commissions, no referral fees, and no revenue-sharing from any third party. That independence isn't a marketing line. It's what lets me tell a family the honest answer, including, often, that the right move is to keep the farm exactly as it is.

How I Work
The Same Goal, With Enhancements
The mission I started with in 2021 is the same one I hold today. What's changed is everything around it: deeper specialization in farmland transitions, better technology built specifically for agricultural families, and a coordinated network of professionals I trust to do right by the people I serve.
If your family is weighing a transition, or simply wants a thoughtful second opinion, I'd be glad to talk. A first conversation is confidential, no-cost, and carries no obligation.
